Gamma Acquires Accel-Backed Design Startup Lica

Gamma, a company specializing in presentation tools, has acquired Lica, a design startup backed by Accel. The acquisition was announced on 25 August 2026 and is intended to expand Gamma's design research capabilities.

Lica, founded in 2023 by Priyaa Kalyanaraman and Purvanshi Mehta, initially developed an app that transformed screenshots and recordings into project presentations and videos. In 2024, Lica secured $4 million in funding from investors such as Accel, South Park Commons, and Village Global.
